Your business vision can be powerful enough to be a game-changer. It can drive your business and give it impact. But it’s not enough to simply know it or write it down. You need to believe in it and you need to know what it will take to get there. Not just give it lip service.
The question to ask yourself is this: Do I believe that my business is meant to be a part of something bigger than myself?
If the answer is YES then it requires more than yourself.
This is the key shift in perspective to really allow your vision to drive and direct your business.
Say this out loud and commit it to memory: To achieve a vision bigger and greater than myself, it will require more than myself.
Every great vision requires a team to get there. Your team should be comprised of staff, peers, and coaches/mentors. With your team in place, you can leverage the gifts, experiences, leadership, and strategy of others that help you achieve your vision.
Make the effort to build your team because your vision requires more than just you.
KEY TAKEAWAYS:
- Three places where you can grow a team:
- Staff – a group of people that can help you move your business because you can leverage their giftedness while you remain in your zone of genius
- Peers – a group of likeminded people also striving to thrive in their business whom you can learn from through shared experience
- Coaches/mentors – people who have gone before you and established expertise or mastery in an area where their leadership and strategy could benefit you
